The festival is open to any 11m band operator!

  1. Dates: June 5th 00:00 UTC - June 6th 23:59 UTC (48 hours)
  2. Classifications:
    1. Top 3 Hunters (highest number of islands contacted)
    2. Top 3 Teams (highest number of contacts -without dupes)
    3. Top 3 Radio Groups (by number of unique contacts of all participating teams)
  3. Frequency: 11m Band (Please obey your local issued frequencies and modes)
  4. Scoring: The final score is calculated from the total amount of contacts. To promote the activation of new islands on 11 meters, a bonus of 10% on the final score will be given to all teams who operate from new ones (ref: Islands Base Online by June 5th 2010 00:00z).
  5. Callsigns: Use your preferred callsign plus indicating your IOTA reference, regional island reference, island abbreviation e.g. 26FB/DE-001, 14GM/AT-026, 26AB001/NH-014. If you are not sure about the best callsign please contact WWRO. (Consider understandable callsigns and see list of announced activations on http://www.wwro.net/islandfestival/?announce)
  6. QSL Management: All teams are responsible for QSL management. Some teams might decide not to prepare a special QSL though. You can find QSL information of participating stations on the Announcement Page. All participants will be awarded by a certificate to download from the Island Festival's webpage after the event.
  7. All participating teams are asked to send in their complete logbooks and proofs of their activations no later than August 1st 2010 via the team administration upload service. Only valid logs received in time will be considered for the final score.
    1. QSO data required: callsign, date, time, r/s, mode, frequency
    2. Proofs: Please provide sufficient and clear documents of your activity to your radio group AND to the festival organization. Try to collect pictures, video-clips, scanned ferry tickets or any other material to proof your activity from the islands. A team without proofs will be automatically disqualified and considered fake.
